Looking for Specific Sculptures to Purchase

You would think, as the artist's daughter, I would have many Bertoia sculptures. Not so. I am looking to purchase a sampling of his works to be exhibited. We can negotiate a reasonable price. I need:
     - a bush
     - a 4' to 5' tonal
     - an early wire piece
     - a "wave" fountain type
     - the metal rectangle screen type
     - other types considered
If you have one you are thinking of selling, it would have a good home with me and be seen by many. Write on this blog or contact me directly at bertoiacelia@gmail.com. Thanks!

Bertoia Exhibition in New Jersey

Another exhibition of monoprints and a few sculptures is slotted for March 15 – May 10, 2011 at Burger Gallery, Kean University, 1000 Morris Ave, Union, NJ. Kean is about 30 minutes from New York City. Kean is a public cosmopolitan university of 16,000 students. The show focuses on the monoprints, or unique drawings, from throughout Bertoia's career. The monoprints are about the only affordable Bertoia art left, but the prices may not be low for long. Take an afternoon to check them out - I think you will be pleased.

Devote more time to Arieto

I have sold our small business so that I can devote more time to research, promote, and educate others about my father, Harry Bertoia. I am very excited! If you have any stories about Bertoia, please tell me! I'm writing a book.

Bertoia on Antiques Roadshow AGAIN!

The Denver April 12, 2010, PBS Antiques Roadshow reported on a medium sized copper tonal, originally bought for $500 in the 1970s, now worth $15,000 to $20,000. Very cool.
The Raleigh January 4, 2010, Antiques Roadshow featured a beautiful Bertoia spray, bought at an estate sale for $10, currently valued at $10,000. Not bad.

Talk in your Home Town

I gave a talk about Harry Bertoia last night at my home. We had a good turnout and people responded very positively. The guys wanted to touch the tonals, while the gals loved the stories about "Dad". If you would like a lecture in your town, let me know!  Celia
